The Temperature ProbeTM Kit integrates with CGXPress. The temperature probe should be installed in a protected area five feet above ground and on the North side of the building. The probe should not be in direct sunlight for accurate temperature measurement.
When the thermocouple is installed, it is no longer necessary to manually type the temperature. The thermocouple interfaces an analog temperature probe providing an RS-232 output of the current temperature. CGXPress will control the thermocouple, sending it commands every 10 seconds to update the current temperature. The temperature probe may be placed up to 200 feet from the control center.
