CGXPress is a fully configured Digital Character Generator and
Graphics System, ready to run out
of the box, and packaged in a 1RU chassis. It is designed for
easy to use operation and does not require a trained CG
operator.
The CGXPress
character generator gives you unprecedented quality, speed,
flexibility, and ease of use.
The new user interface was designed to simplify the operation of
powerful message creation and presentation tools available in
CGXPress.
CGXPress can display
Time & Temperature over a background image or animation (opt). You
also have the ability to create an unlimited number of Time &
Temperature templates with unlimited background events. You can update the
temperature manually, with our optional Temperature
Probe, or from the Internet with the optional
iTemp program. The clock can be updated
manually or by the pc clock locked to a stable time source.
 CGXPress now supports the
optional XMapping Weather Display mode. Weather Map and Crawl data from
the National Weather Service automatically populates your templates and
alerts the operator to the weather condition.
CGXPress has an
easy drag and drop EAS design template that makes it possible to use
multiple backgrounds and associate them with individual EAS events. You
may also create a user defined crawl mask.
CGXPress
simplifies the task of getting station logos and TV rating symbols on the
air. The user friendly interface only requires you to select the desired
logo or rating symbol and the graphic will be displayed on the character
generator for a preset length of time with fade up/down.
The optional CGXPress
Animation enables the display of promotional pop-ups
or "snypes", and the timeline gives you control over page display layer
order and object timings.
CGXPress includes 14
Programmable GPIs to initiate display modes such as
logos, time and temperature, weather, message display, crawls, rolls,
ratings. etc. Also included are
GPOs for
controlling closed caption positioning during EAS and
Weather Alert
crawls.
The XPress Automation option enables control of
the CGXPress character generator by a Master Control Automation or
Newsroom Automation System using either an RS-232 or RS-422 serial
connection.
