XPress AutomationTM

Enables Control of CGXPress with a Master Control Automation or Newsroom Automation System.
XPress Automation allows an external computer to control the CGXPress character generator via either an RS-232 or RS-422 serial connection.
Includes the utility AutoTest to allow easy setup and configuration of the Automation System.

XPress AutomationTM supports the industry standard Chyron Intelligent Interface protocol to allow the following functions to be controlled via automation:

Xpress Automation Responses
If a request for acknowledge <05> is embedded in a command a "*"
will be returned if the command is completed without error.
Error Codes
If an error is detected, a 4-byte ASII error code is transmitted, followed by a
carriage return and line feed. If no error is detected and the command was
processed successfully an asterisk (ASCII 42) followed by a carriage return
and line feed is transmitted.
